Family History Inspires the Generations of Today
My Grandpa was sent to D Day to protect our world from the Nazis in France. He and 156,000 others ran into fight for humanity. To save this world from great evil and suffering. He landed there on D-Day 5 in a machine gunner role.
I have not been raised like the ordinary American whose family didn't serve. I have been raised my whole life to have purpose. To remember the sacrifices of others and be grateful.
My father felt that same responsibility being the son of Vincent. He knew at 15 he would serve our country. He left home at 16 for the Johns Hopkins' ROTC Scholar program. He was a commissioned officer at 20. Decorated later with the Legion of Merit.
My family has shown me how to walk the hero path and move for humanity. My Grandpa earned the Bronze Star for Valor and Purple Heart during his service along with other medals. I follow his example, to get injured and get back up again into the fight.
I am the Granddaughter of Vincent and Daughter of Joseph.
I serve in the ways I am able as a civilian to be an instrument of Peace, Love, Health & Prosperity.

VETERANS ROW IS A MISSION THAT I BECAME AWARE OF THROUGH THE OATH TO COUNTRY FOUNDATION. THERE ARE VETERANS LIVING IN CHALLENGING SITUATIONS AND VARIOUS INDIVIDUALS, NON FOR PROFITS, & BUSINESSES HAVE TRIED TO HELP THE EXISTING STAFF AT THE VA HOSPITAL PROVIDE ADDITIONAL GOODS AND SERVICES TO LIFT UP THE VETERAN COMMUNITY MONTHLY.

AFTER LEARNING MORE FROM VARIOUS PARTIES AND THE LOCAL VETERANS LIVING THERE I DECIDED TO ADD THIS COMMUNITY TO MY SOCIAL GOOD MISSIONS LIST AND CREATE A THINK TANK AROUND STUDYING HOW WE CAN HELP AS CITIZENS CREATE MORE PRODUCTIVE ACTIONS FOR POSITIVE OUTCOMES. PART OF LEARNING ABOUT THAT COMMUNITY WAS ALSO FINDING WAYS IN WHICH I CAN PERSONALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Help Others Los Angeles is a 501c3 organization founded in 2018 by Leticia Lopez and Grissel Chavez, with a vision of making a difference in the homeless community as well as for families in need. HOLA relies 100% on volunteers and donations from the community.
The primary activity of the organization is to provide assistance, support and relief to the homeless community, by way of offering referrals to shelters/jobs/homeless resource agencies and directly providing emergency lodging, food, clothing, hygiene items, pet food/supplies/limited vet care, and other special needs. Assistance and support is also provided to families experiencing financial hardship and/or at the verge of homelessness.

Our goal is to employ veterans in every step of the recycling process- from material recovery to processing.
